Junior Classes at the Bloomfield Tennis Club (Sept. 2021 - May 2022)
Rookie Classes(for those with limited to no experience) - goal is for kids to learn the fundamentals of tennis (how to hold the racket, how to swing, how to move properly etc.). Classes run for 1 hour and incorporate fun games. Class size up to 6 kids.

Veteran Classes (for those with multiple years of experience via private and group lessons) - goal is for kids to learn how to control the ball within rallies, learn how to increase the speed of the ball, maintain proper footwork, and reinforce proper fundamentals. Classes run for 1.5 hours. These classes also serve as a practice for our junior teams. Class size up to 5 kids.
Ages 11-14 - Tuesday 5pm or Sunday 3:30pm
Ages 14-17 - Tuesday 7pm or Sunday 5pm
Performance Classes(for those who are properly developed and play USTA tournaments) - goal is for these kids to train together through rallies and point play, with an emphasis on how to win points and matches. Classes run for 1.5 hours. Class size up to 4 kids.
In addition to these classes, our pros teach many private and (customized) group lessons. So if you have a group of 3-4 kids who are siblings or friends who would like to take groups lessons together, give us a call and we will set something up for you with one of the pros.
Most of these classes require you to sign up and pre-pay for a session. All sessions are 6 weeks long, beginning the week of 9/13/21.
Club membership not required, but members will receive discounted prices for these groups.
Classes can be added and dropped throughout the season without it being updated online, so please call us to ask about classes.
Often times, if there is no perfect class for you, our pros will add you to a customized group lesson that meets your level. These small groups of 2-3 people are not shown online.
There are also some other pros who have junior classes during the winter but we don't show it online. They like to organize their own classes. But sometimes they have openings, so if you call us we may be able to get you into one of their classes.
If there are no current options for your child to join a group, we can add you to a list and let you know once we get an opening or once we get enough kids at the same age and level to form a new group, we will do so
Please call to sign up for any classes
